You need to consider doing tile and glass etching using a different method that rotary cutting. For glass/tile you need diamond bits that spin at 50,000 rpm or more. Etching glass is better done if you cut a stencil with a vinyl cutter, stick it to the glass and sand blast etch the design. There are also some photo resist blast stencils to do fine detail or even halftone photos. Same with tile. Even wood can be done with the sandblast method but works better with CNC routers. The media is so dramatically different that building one machine to do both would be not be practical.

The sand blast method is faster, cheaper and yields consistant results. Google sand carving for more info. You can even do depth carving to give dimensional effects on thicker glass.
