so i recently purchased a used torchmate machine for my business. we build drykilns and saw mills.

my question is this - can i use any software that can export dvx to create my parts.

next question - the unit appears to be about 5 years old. i am refurbishing it. can i use the latest edition of the driver software on this older machine.

also does the older software adjust for kerf, run in, and does it have nesting capabilities?

thanks

Any version of DXF (Drawing Exchange File) should be able to be imported into the Torchmate CAD software for Toolpathing. Toolpathing is what gives you your Kerf compensation, Cut Direction, Cut Order, and Lead-ins and Lead-outs. The CAD is also what allows you to nest parts.

If your table is 5 years old, and your version of the software reads 1.42 or 1.61, you will not be able to upgrade to the newest Serial Communications. In order to upgrade you would have to purchase an upgrade chip for the Signal Generator.

Yes, Torchmate CAD simply produces a DXF file to be imported into the Torchmate Drivers software.
