Hi all!

Need some help making tool path for a pocket. Say I have a 2d drawing that is a 3x6 rectangle, I want to use a 1/8 ball endmill and somewhere in that rectangle I want to make a pocket 1/8 wide .5 long, .5 depth in the center but from the center out on both ends a radius of .25 coming back to 0 on both ends. I hope I explained that well enough, but picture making a coin slot that is the shape of the coin at the bottom.

I have tried numerous times to create this tool path but I can not get any code to post. The only code that comes up is:

M05
G49 G91 Z0
M30

Anybody help me out with this?

Thanks
Walt

that sounds like 3-d, instead of pocketing. what version do you have?
I have cut slots like that using planar toolpath in 3-d.

Walt,

Try a different post processor and see what you get. Also see my reply on Sorin's site.
