I am searching for 3/4"-10, RH hex nuts (steel) for a repair project. Jam nuts would be perfect. It's an uncommon size but I am stuck with it as this is a retro-fit/repair on an older, very large piece of American, mechanized antiquity.

(nuts)

I purchased the odd size acme threaded rod from Mc Master but they do not have the nuts. My searches have been fruitless.

Does anyone have any ideas where I can get such an item?

Does anyone have a tap and a few minutes to make me some collars or jam nuts?

I need 4. Willing to pay. Must have. Getting desperate.

Thanks in advance, guys.

Did not even look there (duh) and Enco did not show up in my search. Wonder why not?

It looks like the case is solved - parts ordered.

I just hope they are in fact ACME - I went back to the site and searched for ACME and they showed up again, so I guess they are ACME and not UNC.

Thanks for the source!

Update -

The cat page said ACME, the part number indicates ACME thread but the nuts I received are UNC. Shoulda known.

Since I have them, and since the application is not critical I am planning to machine a little off the shaft and a little out of the nut to make them fit in a small region of the screw. Close enough for the application - it is simply to retain a pinion gear in place laterally.

Try MATT SINCLAIR (86+!), Coburg, Melbourne, 613 9354 2588.
Don't think he is on the web. Nice bloke. He makes all sizes and acme screws up to 4 meters long.
