Hello,
I would like to construct a lift mechanism for a table mounted woodworking router. I think mounting the router in a frame attached to a rail slide with one or two blocks would serve to keep everything straight and true when raising or lowering the router. I would like to find a rail about 10" long X 1" wide with blocks strong enough to hold the router and frame.

This is a one time experiment (not sure if it will work or not), and used/surplus gear will probably be fine. If anyone has any suggestions for a source or input on how to put such a thing together inexpensively, I'd sure appreciate the help.

I have a sample of a 35 size linear rail that was made in China. The balls fell out of the bearing block because someone took the bearing off of the rail but it will still work once you put it back together. If you pay the freight, I'll give it to you for free.
