Hi there!

I have just bought a controller pack from Torchmate.
After putting everything together I have encountered a problem right before finishing.

The signal generator came with USB, which was quite easy to install. When the program tries to cut, it needs to get some response from the signal generator. Thats where the problem begins, it doesnt get any and an error message comes all the time.

Tried on 3 different computers so far, will try on a 4th today but all run into the same.

This is a common one amongst the problem, but I found troubleshoot only for serial type ones, not USB. :(

Did anyone face this?

When you installed the USB signal generators, did you follow the step-by-step guide included on the drivers and instructions CD? If you just proceeded with the automatic install where it tries to locate the driver itself, it will most likely not install correctly and will not go online.

To confirm the signal generator is working, when you power on the signal generator the 5 axis lights should light up in sequence (1, 2, 3, 4, and then 5) and then all shut off. If you can confirm this then the problem most likely is the driver installation. Feel free to give us a call if you'd like someone to walk you through reinstalling the drivers for the device, or for a walkthrough guide explaining the process.

That can be the point!

The very first time I powered it up, it was just like you wrote. Leds were lighting up after each from left to right. Now they all light up together for a moment. Is there a solution to correct this on my own?

I followed the step-by-step process, even did after a fresh windows install on one of the computers.

Do the lights all light up at the same time and stay on at one time?

Nope, they do not stay.

They only light up for less than a second, then the USB orange lights up and stays.

I had this same problem. All the lights flashed 0n and then off. TM sent me a new board for the signal generator and that fixed it. They even sent it overnight, I had it in less than 24 hours!
