Fellow EU'ers Do you source any electronic/electrical components from the US? I'm thinking stepper drives/steppers/breakout boards/THCs?
What's the deal with ROHS?
I'd be particularly interested from anyone trying against all the odds to run a business in the EU.

Drivers are exempt from needing to be ROHS compliant.
But the exemption is due to end quite soon i think.
I buy drivers and motors manufactured in China, and they are all ROHS compliant, so i would think that if the drive manufacture in the US is worth dealing with they would manufacture their product to ROHS standards.

Hi - yes, as I understand it the exemption ended yesterday. Up to now I've always used geckos but I'm not sure whether they're ROHS or not.
As a by the by - I've just boaught a new motherboard from a major supplier which is stated as non ROHS - are there exemptions on existing stock I wonder?

Makes no difference if it is existing stock or not.
