I just had two 1987 Matsuura RA-1's delivered. Lost in shipment was the box with the manuals and the cabinet round type keys. I have a MV-510 so most Yasnac issues I will be able to find in that machines manual.
Is there any where out there where I can find used or reprinted copies? Or did someone come across a box on the side of I-94 in Montana?
If you know where or have a set, let me know!

ive got no help for you with manuals , but it may be a good idea to check one thing with those machines for safety sake .
i worked with a number of ra's but the ra1 had a quirk where if i did any changes in the w/s the machine had to have all the axis homed in or it would loose track of where it was and drive the tool into the vise , fixture etc .
i'm not sure if it was just a quirk with that particular machine or not , but i figured i'd give you the heads up on it being a possible issue
otherwise great machines

Thanks for the info.
I have the machines in place already. The units themselves are level. Am aligning the pallet changers and bolting them to machines tomorrow. Have electrics and air to hook up and thats at the machines right now. One is going to take a little extra work on the air lines going into the unit, didn't far well on loading on the other end :( but all in all good shape.
Am still interested in any hard copies of installation or RA-1 manuals.

Next question:
My service area has changed. I moved our company out of Washington State to Montana. What a great move! Difficult, but well worth it. Am looking for answers to where you get parts for older machines. Bone yards? We have older machines, mainly Mori-Seiki's and Matsuura's (I have a pratt & whitney but it doesn't count). NOS parts still at places you go for parts? Being our new facility is in the middle of the most excellent place in US, imoa, it does have it's draw backs. There is no service within 2hrs, heck the nearest fast-food is an hr and a half away! There are no malls, or car lots or anything. Well, there is deer, LOTS of deer, walking all over downtown. And at the shop, there is deer.. and elk and bear and big cats. And a whole lot less taxes then WA has.
Been mostly maintaining our equipment by myself for the last 6 plus years. I've dipped into CNC zone here and there for a little help when I couldn't dig any deeper.
So. If you know of any bone yards for Mat's or Mori's let me know.
