Anyone that can help directing me to a reseller in Denmark where I can buy stepmotors and breakoutboxes in Denmark?
I can do all the metal work myself but I'm afraid I can't do that much electronic work..

Hope any of you guys can help me out!!

Hej Martin.

:o

I can do none of it, and yet im building my fourth machine now :-D Why do you want to buy it in Denmark? It can properly be done, but you will end up paying many times more than if you just ordered online.

If you just know some basic soldering and is looking for a "starter kit" go for the hobbycnc.com solution. If you want to avoid soldering look at a combination of a breakout board from cnc4pc or campbell and some gecko drivers. If you are lucky you can find it on ebay.

My main source for cnc parts are worldofcnc.com (UK) for linear bearings etc. and rsonline.dk for all the electronic stuff. Also trapezium screws etc. can be found in webshops in DK or if you live in or nearby copenhagen there is a shop that can get theses things for you rather cheap

If you have any questions at all, dont hesitate to ask

Hi Guldberg. You are telling that near CPH there is a shop that will bring home hardware for a good price. I live not far from CPH, so it's very interesting to hear who that is?
Currently i am using rsonline for elektronics, the very few other things i have bought is brought home from china or GB!
For future shopping i am looking a lot at US, it's very cheap over there, and the amount of selections are great. And actually i already have a solution for shipping, through a friend, that will cost 0$ :-)

Depends on what kind of hardware you need, its a small toolshop, so it has to somehow fall under that category. http://www.romerdal.dk/ its right next to Langebro. Its a good place if you need one of a kind, but its kind a expensive as these kind of small shop tends to be

Funny with this thread. It's "MartinH" that started it, but it's over 6 month ago! So i gues your question must be ment for me :-)

I have a small portal machine, which is ment for engraving (i think). This machine have a working area about 400x250x40mm.

I would like to have a vertical mill for producing alu-parts for RC cars. Also able to mill small steel parts. I imagine this mill with a working area about 500x300x300mm. I am drawing a lot, and reading a lot about how to build this machine. I plan to do most of it myself. Frame in steel, i will weld this myself. Electronic - this i have allreade build onse set for the mill, so i just do another. Steppers, rails an other items i need, i will proberly buy through ebay, or if i can find something ussed around.
I'm looking every week on ebay for good bargain.

Thanks Guldberg - just looked at their website, nothing to show, so i guess it's ment to make contact for having an offer!
