I keep getting an A-axis drive fault while cutting . It will happen in the middle of a cutting pass of after a tool has finished. Is there anything to look for or some way to fix this other than whats in the manual?

HemiRoadRunner 12-27-2007, 08:05 PM A quick way to rule out the A axis drive, is to swap it with another drive in the electrical cabinet. If you suddenly get X or Z drive faults after the swap, the amp may have a problem. If it continues to get the same A axis drive faults, troubleshoot something else. Your turret motor coupling may need adjustment. If the motor is not timed correctly, it puts a load on the motor when the turret is clamped and it's fuse level will climb, then alarm out. You ought to ask your service guy to perform this procedure before replacing any expensive parts. |
