I was wondering who you guys use for insurers for you machine tools? I need some insurance now that I switched banks. Would like to find the best value out there. I only have about 125,000 150,000 I need coverage on.

I would ask some large machine mfrs.

ur building insurance should cover this. both accidental loss fire etc or theft. u need to state an amount to be sure u r covered completely in case of a loss from a fire.

Look up Boilers Insurance...
A few years back an operator crashed a VMC at a shop I work with... The owner (a trusted partner) told me that his insurance covered all the parts and labor required to repair the machine. He ended up with a new $16k spindle and 60% of the money the machine would have generated if it was in operation. He mentioned that the $225.00 per $100k of equipment was a great investment. I'm not sure but I thought it was Hartford that he was dealing with.
