I have a Tree-Kira VMC with a fanuc 10M control. It has an incredibly small amount of memory (about 1450 lines of code if I recall correctly). Are there any cheap ways to expand the memory, or does anyone know how to DNC it off my PC? I can't do much 3D Milling because the programs won't fit. Also, the offset page shows tool length only, but not Diameter offsets. First VMC I have ever run that didn't do cutter comp. Was this a factory option, or did the previous owner disable it somehow? Thanks for the help!!

Hello,
I have a kitamura w/ 6M control and I use the same offset page for tool length
& cutter comp they are called up different in the program
Ex.
G43H1 (for tool length)
G41 or G42 D25 ( for cut comp on offset 25)
If you can send programs to & from a computer
you may be able to dripfeed by simply putting the control in MDI or tape
and send program
Good luck

Just took a quick look on the web for 10M controls....just so you know...I know absolutely nothing about this control. But it appears to have DNC capability and there is at least one place http://www.aggsoft.com/cnc-dnc/fanuc-10m.htm with DNC software with the link demonstrating hardware setup. Betting there are other options if the control was outfitted with the capability.

some fanuc 10m controls do not have a tape mode.
