Will it be better and last longer with mos2 grease on the axis threads or will oil be the best choice? Or maybe a mix of both?
I have a Taig mill.
Any suggestions?

Both work well, the grease lasting a little longer maybe. The main disadvantage of the grease for me as opposed to the oil is it seems to stick chips to it alot worse. I really dont like running chips through the feedscrew nuts or between the ways and gibs for that matter, so I use oil for the most part now. Just have to do it a little more often seems like. Just my 2 pennys though |
