Will a router work with 3-4mm Aluminum faceplates for rack mounted audio equipment?

Is there something I should look for in such a router?

High RPM and rigidity.

Make sure you have tool shank diameter options, too - like a collet system. Being stuck with having to use a 1/8" shank cutter sucks and it greatly minimizes your cutter selection options.
