Onsrud makes the "O" flute single flute cutters which are supposedly great for plastic and aluminium. They have an online store but only sell inside the USA.

Does anyone know of Canadian vendors for Onsrud or an equivilent style of cutter by another supplier?

If you're looking for PCD End Mills/Routers that can be used in the machining of aluminum, plastic, carbon-fibre, and other non-ferrous materials please let me know. I've attached a picture to illustrate the various different cutters that we produce.

I have used the Onsrud cutters from Lee Valley in uhmw with good success. I am not sure if they are the "O" flute cutters but they are spiral upcuts. I meant to cross reference the numbers on the cutters with Onsrud's catalog to see exactly which model they are but never got around to it.

I have used o flutes in many plastics. Very nice and they keep large chips even in acrylic which really helps prevent burning.
