www.vectric.com has made the following announcement: "We are very pleased to announce that VCarve Pro 4.5 has been released."
Go check it out, they have a full description of the new additions, and a link for downloading the upgrade. It looks like it is a great an upgrade!

I ran the upgrade and had no problems what so ever. I then created a Cambodian clock face, for a friend, that I have attached a virtual picture of. The star feature (12 pointed in this case) sure helped in placing the numbers in the correct places! Plus I like the way it looked and included it in the cut. I just cut out on a poplar board. Looks nice...just need to stain it and finish it now.
I have made clocks before and the hardest part was placing the numbers in the correct places. For this one I used Cambodian TrueType font. It was by far the easiest one I ever have made

VCarve Pro 4.5 includes new design and layout tools – Rulers, Guide Lines, Snap Grid and Snapping options – that make drawing and designing much easier and quicker. New 2D toolpath previews - wireframe and solid - instantly show where the cutter will remove material and make it very clear if the tool geometry is too large or the wrong toolpath strategy has been used.
