pete700 10-25-2007, 04:20 PM CNN's Anderson Cooper is reported to have misstated grossly the melting of the Greenland Glacier. I am sure that we will hear a retraction from him and from the Weather Channel Climate Change Expert Babe. The book of Romans in the New Testament says: "professing themselves to be wise they became fools in their own wisdom." "They worshipped and served the earth instead of the creator who is ever blessed." Never before have such a group of panic driven and alarmist nay sayers had so big an audience and commanded so much attention by the propagation of such a pack of lies. Global Warming is at best, unmeasureable, runs in cycles of 10s of years. One meterologist enlisted the help of people to take pictures of some of the temperature collecting devices upon which global warming data is based on. One such device was on an airport next to the area where jet aircraft waited for takeoff. Can you say ... corrupted data?
NoTech 11-22-2007, 10:54 AM Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, WORLD WITHOUT END. AMEN Love those whose roots are above ground! I would rather have faith in GOd rather than his imperfict creation man. I worry not about 10,000 years from now, but today and what the idiotic perceptions of a few have influence on the supposed educated. College educated people here in the USA know very little of the history of this great country, but are quick to express belief and understanding of a scientific (haha) assumption that has questionable data to support it. End of rant.
alexccmeister 11-22-2007, 06:22 PM Where do all these low posters come from. Do they come here just to preach their religion? And stop thinking this is a USA thing. It isn't. Its about the world and there are more non-americans than there are americans.
BTW, on a lighter note, have you heard of this joke?
One day there was a heavy storm and the whole village was flooded. A man climbed onto his roof and a boat came along to try to pick him up. He told the rescuer, being a man of faith, said "its ok, god will save me". Then the boat left. The water got higher and then a helicopter came along to pick him up. To which he replied "Its ok, god will save me". So the helicopter left. The water got even higher and when there was no more rescuer, thje man drowned.
In heaven, the man met with God and upon which he asked. "Why God you left me to die?". And God replied, "I sent you the man on the boat and the man in the helicopter, what more do you want me to do?".
I am probably not writing it correctly but you guys get the picture.
toastydeath 11-22-2007, 07:31 PM I guess since this thread is trolling anyway I don't really feel bad about hijacking it.
Is anyone else here besides me an atheist?
debogus 11-22-2007, 08:55 PM Atheist with a purpose ,I'm a pagan.
I choose to honor the gods of my ancestors ,not of some place my people have never been or of the people that invaded us.
Other than that I'm worm chow.
Why was it named GREENLAND ?
Was the ice green at the time it was named ?
I wonder about ,the effects of the impending magnetic pole swap, more than the gore scheme.
Shotout 11-27-2007, 09:52 PM Atheist, a person that believes in no gods.
Atheist with a purpose, Madalyn Murray O'Hair.
Pagan, folk or ritual based religion, practioner there of.
Now my question is how do you worship pagan gods and call yourself an atheist with a purpose and not blow a logic circuit or two? Not being an ass just confused.

turmite 11-28-2007, 12:17 AM Not an atheist...........not even close! Just look at my sig line!
It is odd that those that are atheist, agnostic or pagan have no problem putting forth their beliefs, but let a believer do it and he is a troll! Hmmmmm seems kinda like double standards doesn't it?
For all those interested get a Bible and read Revelation 16:8-9
There is your global warming taking place in a major way. Why? Go back and read the first post!

Let's see......low posters? I am assuming you mean the number of post? Correct? Well, in my opinion, all of you that have posted so far are "low" posters, but you don't see me slamming you do you?

debogus 11-28-2007, 07:51 AM Huh?
I know the gods/ mythology of my ancestors.Historical fact better than a belief.
But according to the one true god religions all other gods don't exists and are deception by the devil. So I'm either a atheist or a satanist to them.
Cool I can live with that .
Every tribe of man has a story of why.
Why does only one bash on my door?
Why are all of his holidays based on old pagan rites of season?
Do you really know the reason for the season ?
Perhaps another turn of the wheel
a newborn sun
or a newborn son.
You either know or believe.
I think I have a understanding of why.

Cool I can live with that . debogus I didn't call you anything other than what you called yourself. Sorry if I offended. Personally I wouldn't classify you as any of the three you named. I would just call you an unbeliever. There's billions of them.
Every tribe of man has a story of why. Some of those tribes you mention also believed the world was flat. Was it true or false? Just because belief or even faith is used does not necessarily mean something is true. The same can be said for the Christian faith except there is so much historical and archeology to give creedance to the faith and belief.
Why does only one bash on my door?He doesn't bash. According to scripture "He stands at the door and knocks" and, anyone who wishes can open that door. It's like a neighbor who sees your house on fire and runs to you to warn you and to wake you. Would you consider that friend to be a good friend?
Why are all of his holidays based on old pagan rites of season?I totally agree with you on this one, and would like to tell you that all Christans neither believe in, nor practice those days.
Do you really know the reason for the season ?Well I personally like this link, and you will find that you probably won't disagree with much of it. http://www.thercg.org/books/ttooc.html
Perhaps another turn of the wheel
a newborn sun
or a newborn son.See above link
You either know or believe. Based upon what?
I think I have a understanding of why.I'm glad for you. It is not often you find anyone with real understanding. We could debate forever which one of us is correct, but honestly, there is only one way to know for sure. Wait and see!

debogus 11-28-2007, 07:25 PM " I would just call you an unbeliever"
I believe I will go to Valhalla.
Or a condo overlooking the river Styx .
The only thing I know to be fact is some day I'll die and I will feed worms.
But its nice to have a belief, why have one that wasn't of my ancestors ?
Do you have a Christmas tree ? Ever place a gingerbread man on it ?
Does the easter bunny come visit your kids or you when you were little ?
Do you or your kids partake in Halloween?
Most people celebrate the wheel of the year, but don't know thats what they are doing.
I know only one person that is christian and doesnt have the sabath on sunday or nor does he put a tree in his house and celibrate "christmas" .
Only one.
"Wait and see!" Yep to each his own.

HapSmo19 11-29-2007, 11:34 PM Why was it named GREENLAND ?

Eric The Red or Leif Ericsson(of Viking fame) named it "Greenland" in an attempt to lure more settlers there. I saw that on The History Channel or something so it must be true.
That was the FIRST recorded LIE about Greenland.
debogus 11-30-2007, 07:28 AM to lure more settlers ?
Dang and I heard on rush that at the time it was green.
If I moved somewhere based on a story of eden and it turned out to be ICE , lets just say I wouldn't be happy . (chair)
