This is kind a shot in the dark, but I've been looking to find a commercial horizontal cnc boring machine. It would be 3 axis, rather simple with some kind of square fence and would mill out plate/butt hinges on doors. I've seen several companies advertising the use of aggregate heads on their spindles but that is more for line work and what I need is for use on custom work. More or less lining it up with a center point and running the program with the specified dims already factored in. Not sure if anyone has seen a machine like this before or seen someone here try to build anything like it. Any info would be appreciated.

Are you talking about like, a standard horizontal boring mill or horizontal jig borer? Or is this substantially different than commercially available horizontal boring mills?
