I have just purchased on ebay a nice set of linear rails complete with linear mototors.
These are the older version of the Thrustube system from Linear drives LTD (now know as Copley Control Systems)
The later version is a 3 phase linear motor with controller as at http://www.copleycontrols.com/motion/downloads/pdf/QM0005.pdf
but the one I have is an older 2 phase version.

As far as I can tell the system is all working OK but I have been unable to find any information on the controller connections or serial format.
The amp unit is marked LD017M and the controller is marked LD002

If anyone has any information on this system I would be very greatfull for it.

I'm especially looking for info on the serial data format to the controller and the pinout of the axis connections.

Also the system uses Renishaw RGHF-2 encoders and scales and any info on them would be helpfull in case I cannot get the existing amps/controllers to work.
