Hi Kevin,
As an experienced machinist you already know the most important stuff you need to know, like speeds & feeds, cutting tools, materials, setup, etc. What you are asking for must be the operating procedures of your CNC machine which unfortunately unless you have somebody by you, as you already know, you have to go through the operator's manual. If you are asking about the part programming, that is another issue; but once again, unless somebody works with you or you are in the classroom you still have to rely on text material. Judging by the time you posted this question or request I wouldn't be surprised that by now you've already figured out most of the things that you wanted to know in the first place. However, if there are any specific questions that you'd like to expand further this is the right forum to ask, and I for one will be glad to to look it over.
Good luck!
