[EDIT]

I redid the models using TurboCAD. All files are now in a Pro/E IGES format.

The material is 6061 Aluminum. Note that I exported a couple versions of each design. I need a price quote and approximate turnaround time for each part.

My intent is to purchase 2 sleeves and 12 collars for now for my personal project. In the event that others like my design, I may order additional parts in the future.

Kind regards,

How many will you require of each?

For this particular part, I need just two at this point.

[EDIT]

My response was misleading. I meant that I need two of the first part (the sleeve), and 12 of the second part (the collar).

I have attached a zip of the IGES files for the project.

how big of a radius is acceptable for the inside corners? what kind of tolerances?

For the outer surface, I'd be fine with fillets. That is to say that the inside corners need not be a sharp right angle. 1/8 or 1/4 would not be unreasonable.

In fact, I think the parts would look better that way. I just didn't add fillets into the models because I didn't want folks to think I have a specific radius in mind.

I really would like the outer edges to be radiused to take the sharp edges off. Again 1/8 or 1/4" would look nice. But, I am concerned enough about cost that I would drop this idea if it means adding substantially to the cost.

That is why I provided versions of each model with and without radiused edges.

Now, regarding tolerance, I need the bores to be precise. If I slide a pin or a beam through the openings in the collar, for example, I want that pin or beam to fit with almost no perceptible play. I'm using DOM pins and beams.

I would imagine 0.001 would do the trick, but this isn't my area of expertise. What tolerance would you recommend if my goal is for the parts to slip together, but have almost no play at the joint?
