No, you have to be registered with this site, in a few days a special on-line form will be made available to register to win.

Hey right on, I really like their NCLink Free for DNC. It'd be cool to be able to get a full version of some of their other stuff.

That's all fine, but I guess only one will be the lucky winner.
I didn't find any price info at their site. Does anyone know what the selling prices are?

Why don't anyone come out with an amateur package that will only run for a limited number
of parts or hours each week/month for a lower price? That would create revenue without
loosing full price pro licensees. And a large base of amateur users will increase the "jungle
telegraph" sales.

OK there's a marketing idea for OneCNC and others. I will not claim license for the idea. :-)

ESjaavik,

Yes there will only be one system given away, but we believe the XR Series will make everyone in the industry a winner.

Although our team doesn't post here very much, we do pay attention to the discusssions and issues that the different categories of machinists face.

In fact part of the development process was examining what the industry was talking about and directed our development resources to solve these problems.

Prices start at under $1500.

The release date is just around the corner so stay tuned.

Regards,
OneCNC-USA

Hi Calkai1

No, just 3 axis at this time. This is where the greatest need is, I guess. Gotta let those other software companies specialize in something ;)

Matt, I hope you do get to see XR sometime. Maybe even set up an online personal demo so you can see what all is in it. That is likely the best way to see without a lot of hassle.

Hey I'm just coming into the field and I want it to be complicated so I can still have a good job. Really there isn't too much thats complicated about the whole process, just making it quicker, cheaper and better. I have to say that OneCNC is making it a little cheaper but you do get what you pay for. I think that they are heading in the right direction but when they get a simplistic version of mastercam or surfcam, it's probably going to be in the same price range. correct me if I'm wrong. The stuff is kinda over priced all around if you ask me for what it actually does.

Carl, don't think of it that way, about wanting it complicated, I mean :D Because here is what happens: what used to be complex work, is now easy; what was once too expensive to cut is now affordable. This simply enables you to take on more challenging work than you would have considered before. I don't think there is ever an end to the demands that the customers can come up with, to load you down adequately with whatever cadcam system you get yourself into.

Even though OneCNC is intuitive to use, there are still the challenges of actually modelling the part, holding it, repositioning it, etc. There's lots to keep the old brain busy, its just a different level of difficulty, that's all :)

Oh and welcome to the forum OneError. ;)

Entering more than once doesn't increase the chance of winning, all the entries are put a program and is pick by random.

This thread has been modified, to comply with the rules of the site. My apologies to OneCNC this was not the place of the forum to criticize there product or company.

A very important part of the success of CNCzone is it's integrity to it's users. To do that CNCzone runs this site with many people who devote time and energy to moderate and maintain that integrity. Sometimes that does not happen, the rules of a moderator is to remain non-bias. That did not happen in this case, and we apologize for that.
