I am a high school shop shop teacher and I recently had a three axis CNC router donated to my wood shop. It utilizes centroid micro-1 controller cards communicating directly through the computers serial port. The software the machine came with is "CenCom," a feature poor dos based program.

Does anyone know of a windows based sofware package that will run under WIn2000 and allow for more complex machine control using the centroid controller?

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide, Dennis

Did you ever get this router working?

If not, I can help, I bought a small router and lathe that use the same controllers.

Did you use the centroid controller or repalce it? Im getting ready to remove the centroid controller and dos computer from the cnc router I just bought and use some driver cards and mach 3.

^^ I messed with the original stepper drives but they don't microstep and run weird, so it is better to get new stepper drives like Geckos or other cheaper ones.
