CNCzone has now upgrade for the 4th time this year, we are now running on 2 servers, so lets see how well this will work. Now we have a total of 10 CPUs running :rainfro: .

Now we have a total of 10 CPUs running :rainfro: . Paul you are doing better than me; I am only able to justify 2 new machines a year :) . But then I would have no space for four so it is just as well. CNCadmin 09-25-2007, 02:29 PM My servers are here- http://www.liquidweb.com/?RID=cnczone Geof 09-26-2007, 05:49 PM Maybe it is just wishfull thinking or the placebo effect but I think CNCzone loads quite a bit faster now. Two or three seconds versus 10 or 15 seconds before (or never). Just the occasional time it is a bit slower. CNCadmin 09-27-2007, 01:29 AM It better, I'm really paying a small fortune now. WayneHill 09-29-2007, 03:16 AM It better, I really paying a small fortune now. Paul, Just get the 70,000 members to donate $20 a year to this web site :) Wayne CNCadmin 10-09-2007, 02:52 PM Paul, Just get the 70,000 members to donate $20 a year to this web site :) Wayne LOL that would be nice.......1.4 mill I could handle that :rainfro: . gar 10-15-2007, 01:30 PM 071015-1330 EST USA Main forum page has been compacted. Not good. . CNCadmin 10-15-2007, 01:32 PM Actually NO, it's the same as before just all the descriptions are gone, it's a cleaner look and no need to over scroll to get to the forums you want, i think so? gar 10-15-2007, 02:15 PM 071015-1417 EST USA My definition still holds true. Scrolling is easy. It is not easy to open a thread to see if there is something new or a change. Scrolling is far easier. . acondit 10-15-2007, 05:54 PM I agree with Gar. I preferred the old look. It was much easier to see if you wanted to go to a thread (i.e., were there new posts that I hadn't read). Alan rustamd 10-16-2007, 12:08 AM I also liked the old look, much easier to navigate... nlancaster 10-16-2007, 03:10 AM Should make it configurable. I liked the old look better. It is now hard to browse directly to the subforums that I go into. Now we have to click on the main forum header and then the subforum header to look at the posts in that forum. Also you can't even tell which forums have subforums until you click on the main header. I can understand why some people might like the new system. But I also think it would be better to be able to configure it either way. rustamd 10-16-2007, 09:21 PM Thanks for changing it back! |
