What torque steppers are most of you running on your CNC'd X2's. I have a set of 80 oz. but I wouldnt figure that would be enough expecially for the Z axis. Most of my work will be done in 6061 alum. if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.

Hey max,
I ran 190 oz/in on my stock X2 CNC (http://www.hossmachine.com/cnc_conversion.html)without much trouble but wouldn't recommend going less than that.
I now run 269 oz/in X and Y and 495 oz/in for the Z.
The biggest difference I found was from increasing the Voltage and running
a Bipolar driver. Unipolar will give you less torque. It's best to use what the Driver board manufacturer recommends. They usually sell kits with the proper motors.

I guess the 80 oz I got I may use on a small scale CNC router for foam or light balsa
