I'm completely new to CNC milling, but I already have an Optimum BF 20 mill that I would like to convert to CNC.

I consider buying the stock kit from Optimum for the BF 20 mill, but I'm a bit confused about which parts I need. As far as I can tell, I need to following items:

- The CNC milling kit, containing the steppers and other small parts
- A CNC controller box (the CNC controller VI)
- 3 controller cards
- The "PC-Dreh" software

There are 3 versions of the PC-Dreh software - which version should I get?

I already have a laptop computer which I plan to use for the software.

Do I need anything else?

Are there any pitfalls I should be aware of?

We can help you get your BF20 CNC'd. Take a look at our website www.homeshopcnc.com

Contact us through the website and we'll tell you how to get started with either a servo or stepper based system. We can also supply preloaded ballscrews.
