Hello

I'm looking to have about 50 replica sights made for an old muzzleloading rifle model. The sight I want to copy is pictured below. The sight is basically an angle iron with a through hole for a pin. I do not need the four sight notches as seen on the picture.

To give you an idea of the dimensions:

The long blade is 1.5" long and .78" wide.
The short blade is .7" long and .78" wide.
Pin hole diameter: .12"

Is anyone interested in this job? I can draw a CAD drawing with measurements of the sight.

Thanks

The sights have finally arrived. Unfortunately, 50 % of the sights I paid for were missing, and the quality of the ones that arrived was poor. Some of the sights were even useless. The person that made them all of a sudden stopped answering my emails when I tried to ask what has happened. Well, another lesson learned, and money out of the window.

I would like to point out that none of the ones that answered the RFC in this thread are to blame. The person sent me a PM about the job. I don't know whether if it is appropriate according to the forum rules to name the con-man, but I would not hesitate to warn people about this person.

I'll give him until Wednesday. There is no doubt that he reads this thread because one hour after I posted my last reply to this thread I got an email from him. I doubt that he will pay though. He has about 28 hours.

You REALLY need to report this person regardless. I have some lathe work that I wanted to RFQ in the next week or so, yet after reading this I may be hesitant. It's not good for you, it's not good for me, and it's not good for the potential suppliers on cnczone.com

The sights look pretty easy to make... am I wrong?

how did he managed to scrap most of them?
what he used? a hand saw and a file?
