I think that the fault is that I move to a Z distance smaller than the area to be machined.
I move to Z70. and I think I should move to say Z92. and
G0 X65. Z80. S200 M04

What my difficulty is that I use VDS or EditNc from Mastercam X to trace the tool paths
they do not complain as I think that they don’t understand LAP cycles.
When I put the above code into our school’s simulator – which directly simulates the OSP500L my code is rejected ( code 2962 ) and also when input into the actual controller.

Should I change the Z position in N0010 to Z92. and before each call of NLAP1 ?

In addition can I change the call sequence

Is G85 NLAP1 D4. F.2 U1. W.2 the same as

G85 NLAP1 D4. U1. W.2 F.2 ?

Is the order important or are the parameters keyword based?

When I comment out the calls to NLAP1 the rest works.

Any input would be appreciated. See attachments for additional details.

You have nothing telling the machine to use a canned cycle. Without the G85NAT1 Line you are not telling the machine what to do. I would contact my dealer and ask them to give you a better post for the Okuma.
