Hi -
The tutorial on this page
http://www.vectric.com/WebSite/Vectric/support/vcpro_tutorials.htm

There is one called working with clip art. In there shows a picture of a restroom sign. There are a lot of extra wavey lines around the word restroom, is that part of the font? If so what font does that? If not what is an easy way to get those extra decorative lines?

They also have the lines like that around the open sign in that tutorial. I am not a good artist but want this effect around the words on the signs I make.

Many thanks in advance....

It looks to be PART of the font itself.

Just by doing a quick search for FREE script fonts, I came up with several that are CLOSE to your query.

http://www.free-fonts.com/script_fonts.html

Or look for Elegant script fonts or cursive fonts on any good search engine.

Thanks, will try some searching. Does anyone know what font was used in the tutorials?

This font is Conventry Garden. Not quite like what's in the tutorial but looks ok. I like the one in the tutorial and want to use it. just can't figure out what font that is.

Let me know what you think of the pic. :)
