Does anyone know how these controllers handel G-code files? Does the machine convert the G-code to conversationl and then run the file or does it just run the G-code file?

Any help?

On the Max II you select either conversational or G-code modes and switching basically reboots the machine and it loads a different "master tape" from the systems eeproms.

The editors are completely different.

Editing G-codes thru the Max II consol is a real pain - I edit offline then run DNC usually.
