I have connected a gamepad to my USB and enabled the Mach3 joystick plug-in to control the x and y axis. How can I program this to take advantage of the other buttons/keys?

How can I program this to take advantage of the other buttons/keys? ger21 08-28-2007, 08:55 PM I think you may need to use keygrabber. Switcher 08-29-2007, 10:51 AM This is extreme (& cool), should help you. :) Like Ger21 said, use keygrabber. http://www.hossmachine.com/projects_2.html#control panel I took 2 USB controllers, an aluminum case, a bunch of switches and some wire and came up with this. I use Keygrabber from Mach 3 to program the buttons. I can control (4) 110 V accessories, i.e. the engraver, surface grinder, light, vacuum. I have a duplicate X2 Speed Control switch from Littlemachineshop.com. I added Jogging feedhold switches with LED's for taking long 'manual' cuts. Still have about 10 buttons unused available for future plans.(maybe Mach 4?) Bought the Logitech USB Attach 3 and the Phillips USB PC Controller at Walmart. I bought the aluminum enclosure and switches at Mouser.com. This Panel gives me control over the most used buttons in Mach3 for quickly jogging the tool into position for a cut then starting the Gcode. The joystick works like in a game, the farther I push to one Axis or another, the faster it moves. I'll include my tutorial for programming KeyGrabber below. . |
