I'm having some issues with sheetcam that I was hoping someone could help me out with.

I'm pretty new to this program, so these might be just really simple, stupid mistakes.

I have a TAIG mill and I am running Mach 3. Here are the issues that I'm having:

1. When sheetcam outputs the G-code it doesn't leave any margin for error when it picks up the tool and moves it to a new cut. It codes it as a "G00 Z0.0000". So, I have to manually go into the generated code and change all those lines to something like "G00 Z0.100" to make sure I have some clearance and the end mill doesn't drag across the part.

Is there some kind of setting I'm missing in sheetcam to allow for this?

2. For some reason when I run a program that is over a certain length it just stops. I have the full licensed version, but for some reason it will only execute up through line N9990. The next line, N10000, will not execute. The machine just stops where it is with the spindle still spinning and coolant still running.

3. Sometimes when I select a contour in sheetcam it doesn't recognize it for some reason. For instance, I have an aluminum panel and I'm cutting holes in it for parallel port connectors. There are a number of these holes in the panel. I modeled up the panel in Solidworks, then make a drawing, then make a dxf. Then I import the DXF into sheetcam. I select all the holes and move them to a "cutout" layer. When I create a new contour process on that layer to cutout the holes. It will show the cam cutter paths for all of the holes, except one.

For no apparent reason it just doesn't like one hole and won't include it. I try re-selecting it and moving it to the cutout layer and it doesn't work.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this stuff?

Thanks!
