What plasma cutter will work best for mostly aluminum cuts of 3/16 5052.
I will cut some steel also but nothing to crazy. I like Hypertherm 1000 but I'm wondering if I need such a big machine or such machine will hurt. Thank you for the help.

I would buy the largest machine you can afford to buy. I like to feel as thought I'm buying something that will not be working on the edge of it's capacity. Besides if you're able to cut larger material, I'm sure you'll find something larger to cut.

We're running a 4 x 8 torchmate with a 100 hypertherm. Depending on the tolerances, I've cut up to .500 alum, and .750 steel.
