View Full Version : problems with ATC on mitsui seiki

hey all i am having problems with mitsui seiki VR3 with 11m fanuc controls the ATC doesnt work it holds 20 tools in the mag n one in spindle when i type in a command like T2 M06 it gives me an alarm it only changes tool between 2 tool number which are T6 and T11 the rest give me alarms. i tried to go into NC/PC mode and bring up the data table but the data table doesnt show any idea why the rest of the tools dont work ? HELP PLEASE!

hi, have you tryed just calling a tool in the magazine like t1 or t2 eob cyc start dose mag turn , also what alarms are you getting , nakatome

Try T0 M6:and see if it empties the spindle.If it does then try another tool number other than T6,T11.

Run M30 once.Sometimes that helps.
I know, it's not what you normally do but it has helped me several times when everything else fails.

hey guys i tried to use T0 to empty the spindle out and it gives me an alarm the mag does not rotate, it only rotates if i call tool number 6 or 11 if i jsut call T0 or T04 or any other number it gives me an alarm the mag does not rotate oh and M30 did not work plz help with more advice thank you

Take a look at the sensors.The ATC may be in the right place but the sensor doesn't detect that.Most of them have a little diod(red or green).It should be lit up when affected.

i have the same machine and the same problem.
when i call t3 m6 nothing at all no alarm.
do you know if there is a sub program in the memory O9001,or O9000
to make tool change.

Yes, you should have a sub program for tool change.My program is O9029.

the way i solved my problem was by resetting the ATC data table in NC/PC mode. It tends to get corrupt every so often, my sub programs worked fine but the problem was in my data table it gets corrupeted if u dont have ur memory protect on or press ATC button after the inital start up. if you need the data table i have it, you can try to reset it see if that works, on my machine i have to reset the pramaters every month or so.
