Is there anywhere in the US where you can buy a MT2 er32 collet holder?

I cannot believe that no one sells these.

I think ER32 is bigger than would be appropriate for an MT2 taper. I think MT2 normally only goes up to ER25 then MT3 takes over.

You may be lucky and find one but I wouldn't hold my breath.

There you go, I new somebody would prove different. However if you look the MT2 shank is somewhat feeble compare to the holder itself.

The thick end of a MT2 is 17.8 mm and the maximum holding diameter for an ER32 collet is 20mm. The tool bit or work piece is going to be stiffer than the holder, by a considerable margin. However as long as it is only lightly load it should be OK I guess. I assume this is why it is not very common to but a MT 2 shank on an ER32 collet holder, at least not for metalworking. It may be different in the woodworking world.

Phil

Yeah I agree phil. I have a MT3 in my X3 and use ER25 collets. Seems to me to be a better balance.

Can't imagine needing ER32 in such a small machine.
