does anyone else have the 4-jaw chuck meant for the 10 x 18 lathe?? i just got mine today and was told it came with an adapter plate, but there isnt one in the box.. im a little upset that i was told it would be there. why would they say that it is meant for that lathe if it needs an adapter plate anyways???

As far as I knnow there is a 4"' x 4 jaw and a 6". The 6" needs the adapter plate B2227LCA

i guess i should mention that it is the b2227LCHUCK that i have, it is a 5" and was supposed to be for that particulat lathe... i had seen some cheaper chucks around but i didnt want to have to mess with making an adaptor plate...

i just looked at the link you attached... looks like that is what i need... why would they say that this chuck is for that lathe if it still needs an adaptor plate to go with it???
