fired up our 1998 Yang lathe this a.m. screen went to Japanese and drives will not turn on.

1043 = 1 for english, sounds like you lost the parameters.

I can't navigate any of the screens to input anything

I think I will have to call Mitsubishi;

This lathe was going to be sold for scrap
at one of our other facilities, but I kept it for machining misc stuff and have kind of grown fond of it. No problems in 10 years.
