Hello All

I am having some trouble and was wondering if you all could help me out. I have a 86 BMC-10 Hurco with a max2 control and I just got it to transfer programs to the machine from my laptop but now I found out that it has very little memory and it wont take long programs. Is there a way to drip-feed(not sure if thats what it is called) this machine from my laptop so i can run some longer programs. Any help would be great

Thanks Michael

Greg Mercurio had posted this over in alt.machines.cnc in 2001:
<begin>
If you are doing G-code, my notes are as follows:
Once you get the program into memory, the 10%, then press Auxiliary and part
of the program is displayed on the screen. Press Auto, Press RUN Program
and Press Start. Insure you are cutting "AIR" and not the part when trying
this. This is a guide line and not the rule so your results may vary.

Feel free to give me a call if nothing happens and maybe we can chat more.

all hurcos will "drip feed". start your download. you will notice that the memory percentage will go down to 10% and stop loading. this is to allow for editing the beginning of the program. begin running the program, and the control will continue to load the back side of the program as the front is used up. to begin again, start the reload agin. ron
