Over the past several weeks I've been having problems with my hydraulic/air tool lock. I finally found were it was leaking, but now I can't get the tool release to work. A lot of hydraulic fluid has drained down past the spindle shaft and i think it's become filled with the fluid. when I hit the tool release button I can actually see the hydraulic cylinder brace buckle and the top brace of the ball screws is getting depressed. I'm trying to figure a way to get that hydraulic fluid out of the shaft, but don't have a manual, so afraid to do certain things. I've attached some photos for your review. If anyone out there in CNC land has the drawings of the spindle assembly or knows how to get this hydraulic fluid out, PLEASE let me know.

thank You,
Ben

Is the cylinder not coming down far enough to eject the tool? If you have had a leak, you may need to bleed the air out of the system, to allow the pressue to bulid enough to push the cylinder hard enough.

The hydraulic cylinder has been bleed and is working. My problem is the tool release is activated by the hydraulic cylinder pushing the spindle shaft down to release the BT40 tool holder. This shaft which was working fine before I went on vacation is now binding, I believe due to hydraulic fluid inside the shaft, preventing the shaft from going down all the way to release the tool holder. I can actually see the cylinder brackets being pulled inward from the pressure.
