I have been fighting with an X axis final drive problem that has led me to suspect the X motor. Are there any good suppliers that have the right type of motors that could be used in conjunction with the original Y and Z motors without causing any problems? I should mention that I will need something that is compatible with Hillbilly's break out board. TIA,

Ian

These things show up on the E-bay auction site from time to time; that's where the motors from my machine went when I converted to servos. I don't see any on auction at the moment, but this guy lists them in his "E-bay store":

$299 seems kinda spendy, though. If I recall, all three of my motors went for that total.

Disclaimer: I have never done business with this seller.

I should add, I believe that the X and Y motors are interchangeable, so you should be able to swap motors and see if the problem follows the motor before you spend mony on a replacement.
