Have seen this alarm many times, usually this alarm is fatal to the drive unit. There is either a problem on the top board or the IBG modules on the lower base of the unit. There is a break down of the BDU / BLD unit in the maint. Manual. On check points to see if voltage is being sent to the top board.

Is this the BDU drive or has your machine been upgraded to the BLD drives? Are there LED's on the drive and if so, which ones are lit? If you have an IOCM or an IOCS lit, then you have to check the motor and cables with a megger to see if that is the cause of the overcurrent (IOCM = overcurrent in motor, IOCM = overcurrent in the servo amp).
