Got a brand new sherline CNC New in the box including the computer. I also got bobCad/Cam ver.21 coming in the mail. What do I need to do to make the mill work with the software? EMC? Driver compatible? I also can use my windows based laptop. HELP!!

Miami, if you got the CNC package from Sherline, it comes with EMC and a Linix computer. I already had a linix computer but I couldn't get EMC to load onto it. So I went with Mach3 and I don't regret it at all.
Be sur to get the proper post from BobCad to output your g-code for EMC.
BobCad has a steep learning curve, if you didn't get the training video, get them.
Checkout the BobCad section here and Cad Cam trainer( Sorin's Site) there's a lot of help available and many who are willing to help with questions. I know It'll take you a while to figure out what you need to ask. Be patient, very few can hit the ground running in this game.
