Ive built up a great system for my mill/drill
and hobby lathe ,sharing the same control

But it doesnt do any good for me right now
I dont have the software to use it ,and cant afford
the full cost of Camsoft.

I do have Galils old gcode to dmc program
it only supports 3 axis ,i'd like to run
a homemade toolchanger on my lathe (when I get around
to building it)

Well if anbody has Camsoft they want to sell let me know.

Been watching ebay for months now and nothing
has come up ,seen it before but now that i want it,
you know how it goes.

Depending upon what Galil card you have, you might be able to run Mach2 with it. The DMC1040 card has four extra encoder inputs that can be configured as step/dir inputs. Just have your axis' follow the aux inputs using one of the follower subs listed in the Galil manual.

You can still use the Galil homing functions instead of those in M2 by programming a macro. Homing to an index is preferable to a limit switch.

If you are looking for their cad/cam software I have a legit copy of Camsoft AS3000, version 8.0, level 10 with manual and Powerwriter programmers guide for sale. If you are interested send me a PM.
