When warming up spindle ,after a few minutes the spindle shuts off and coasts to a stop.I recall the alarm says regan overload.Any ideas? It doesn't do it all the time.

Most common cause is the input line voltage is too high.

Our TM-1 gets power alarms when it is over 90 outside and all of the airconditioners are running. The input voltage at the unit is in spec and the wire size and run are all well above design limits. Before I worked here, they said the Haas people came out and said it was bad power but the power company never found any problems.

I was having this (Alarm 123) the other week too. I followed Geof's suggestion of placing a fan on top of the machine blowing on the Regen Resistor. I cleaned the fan above the spindle too to be safe, some minor dust accumulation. Had HFO service guy here replacing a controller battery and talked to him about it. He told me to have the line checked (did it was good) as suggested by HalinHaas and run it until it failed. I've used the machine now since Memorial Day without a reoccurance and have ran the same program drilling and tapping 6061 which was when the failure occured since then running twice the parts with no problems.
