Im talking about something around a 10x10 inch or so (cutting area)? balsaman 04-18-2003, 11:43 PM Here is one. http://www.rcmodels.net/cnc/ I am also considering selling mine...if your interested in a previously owned one. Also it needs to be picked up. Too heavy to ship... Eric cncman 04-18-2003, 11:50 PM That's a cool looking machine. WOODKNACK 04-19-2003, 12:19 AM Going to sell yours already!! Geez you just made it... You live in canada right?? Im in maine....... balsaman 04-19-2003, 10:18 AM I am considering building a new one out of aluminum. Maybe use servos and gecko's. I haven't decided yet. Where in Maine? Eric WOODKNACK 04-19-2003, 10:46 AM I live near the capital. Augusta, Me 04330 WOODKNACK 04-19-2003, 10:48 AM Hey clean out your mail box.. cant send PM to you..... balsaman 04-19-2003, 11:07 AM Cleaned out. You are 700 miles from me. Kinda far. Eric WOODKNACK 04-19-2003, 11:58 AM Thats ok. I think im going to build machine number 3. They only get better.. Going to build a gantry this time. balsaman 04-19-2003, 12:11 PM It's complaining that your mailbox is full... Eric balsaman 04-19-2003, 01:46 PM -MDF machine frame -all linear bearings/rail on every axis -1/2-10 Acme leadscrews on each axis -15x27 table -13x25" cutting area -325 drilled holes for clamping in a 12x24 grid -about 275 of the drilled holes have steel treaded inserts for clamps etc.(10-24) -Stepperworld FET3 board -27 volt PS with resistors -48" per minute on x and y -30" on z -3.5" z travel -1.25 HP router with variable speed control -software controls the router on/off -No computer included -no measurable backlash on x, .0055" baclash on y. This can be fixed with a new y delrin nut. Currently I am compensating using backlash compensation in the software. I would need $750.00 USD to part with it. I would also need some time, as I am not done with it yet. Also I would have to ask my wife...:) if I can build a new one first...:) Eric WOODKNACK 04-19-2003, 06:10 PM HEY, Ya I emptyed my box too!!! lol.. Not a bad price. But im affraid shipping would kill me.... CNCadmin 04-20-2003, 12:53 AM I shipped my machine it cost about 150.00 to ship a 24x36 wood router machine. |
