(there may be such a thing already, but I haven't seen it - which doesn't mean anything!) A brief explanation of print to part, creating in your favorite CAD/CAM software, converting, saving as.., post processor explanations etc... dan dimock 08-10-2007, 07:40 AM I fell like if we covered one type of software - what it would do and how to use it - this would help a lot of new-comer, like me, and save a lot of time and money. I would also like to say that I am 72 and in a power chair most of the time and would have never gotten a CNC unit built without the help of this site and it members -Thanks so much to all. Dan crazythunder 09-14-2007, 08:15 PM Do you think it is possible to add others? I was thinking about writing one for canned cycles. Maybe some more for Macro Programming, Setting up CNC mills, Setting up CNC lathes, and etc but you only have machine building as a topic. crazythunder 09-19-2007, 11:32 AM Anyone??? joerom 09-21-2007, 09:11 AM Hello,I think I would like to try an article to convert my machine that would show basics and where I got everything.I am a novice at cnc,but this might be useful.I would like to do it in parts, such as part one part two etc,or would this be better on the regular paost, thanks,Joe. jorgehrr 09-21-2007, 09:40 AM I agree with crazythunder Programming is a BIG topic Jorge dan dimock 09-21-2007, 12:07 PM I have a small metel lathe that I would like to convert to a wood CNC unit to turn parts for all wooden clocks. I do not know the first step. Would like to see information on that. Dan MrWild 03-02-2008, 12:37 PM The link is broken again. Says I do not have permission to access that page. Eurisko 03-02-2008, 06:28 PM Ditto. The link won't work for me, also. CNCadmin 03-03-2008, 08:11 AM I removed that feature. I tired many times to get a response from the admin here and was a waste of time. I just post under the one that was there hoping it would peak some interest and it did not so I just did not waste mind time with anything more. It was really nice when it got erased I truly appreciated seeing my work just flushed down the toilet thank for that admin.(nuts) is what it felt like. |
