im interested in writing articles ....!

but tthe thing is im just a nooby machinist...(just graduated a 7 month machinist course Feb 07 and been working for four months now)

i was thinking of maybe as i learn more thing about being a machinist to let other people know (and maybe ask advice) about this learning experiences

how about a section that explains basic CNC questions that frequently come up? (there may be such a thing already, but I haven't seen it - which doesn't mean anything!)

A brief explanation of print to part, creating in your favorite CAD/CAM software, converting, saving as.., post processor explanations etc...

I fell like if we covered one type of software - what it would do and how to use it - this would help a lot of new-comer, like me, and save a lot of time and money.

I would also like to say that I am 72 and in a power chair most of the time and would have never gotten a CNC unit built without the help of this site and it members -Thanks so much to all.

Do you think it is possible to add others? I was thinking about writing one for canned cycles. Maybe some more for Macro Programming, Setting up CNC mills, Setting up CNC lathes, and etc but you only have machine building as a topic.

Hello,I think I would like to try an article to convert my machine that would show basics and where I got everything.I am a novice at cnc,but this might be useful.I would like to do it in parts,such as part one part two etc,or would this be better on the regular paost,thanks,Joe.

I have a small metel lathe that I would like to convert to a wood CNC unit to turn parts for all wooden clocks. I do not know the first step.

I wrote a pretty nice thing. I tired many times to get a response from the admin here and was a waste of time. I just post under the one that was there hoping it would peak some interest and it did not so I just did not waste mind time with anything more. It was really nice when it got erased I truly appreciated seeing my work just flushed down the toilet thank for that admin.(nuts) is what it felt like.
