Anyone here see or use the master jaw system from EDI tooling? Ajaxjaws.com sells it-just got the flyer in the mail. I'm wondering how good it is since I need to change out my 8" chuck to 5C collets on my TL-1 several times a day...it's time consuming and a pain in the ass with the bison I have on it.
or are there any other systems? THANKS!

Why not just get one of those manual collet blocks that clamp in a 3 jaw chuck? Then when you need the 5C, you just lock it in the chuck and go to town. When you are done, just take it out and you have the chuck again. Not as accurate as a spindle mounted 5C, but it would work.

it's RPM limited as well as inaccurate.

Sorry. It was a thought. Didn't know what kind of tolerances you were dealing with. I guess it's back to changing the chuck/5C collet chuck again.
Have fun!!

np. I just keep thinking back to my days at an old hardinge. The 3-jaw to 5C took seconds.

Yes they would be nice. One of these years I would like to get a 3-jaw for our DSM. Oh well.
