Does anyone know if there is an easy way to calculate the force that gets applied from a certain motor torque and screw combination, example 200oz.in. motor + 1/2-10 lead screw what would be the final force to the sliding table, I relized that there are some other factors like fiction on the screw and slide, but is there some sort of online calculator or easy equation to use to check multiple combinations?
Thanks Jim

Dear Jim,
I think you should be aware that I may have "passed you a bummer".
The L in the equation is the linear advance of the screw per revolution, not the "small l" in the diagram, the length of the screw.
You may have spotted it, but I feel guilty for possibly confusing you.
I do apologise.
Best wishes
Martin
