Hi,
I'we been looking into biulding a small cnc mill. I thought it would be a good idea to start with a koordinate table like the proxxon kt150. I have limited possibilities to make one from scratch in the apartment as well. But as more I read it seams like its always a problem with backlash. Is it hard to fix this and will it be any good?

sugestions for other koordinatetables to use? My budget is about 300 US for the table.

Welcome to the forum.

I am not sure about the proxxon table but check out here (http://www.damencnc.com/damencnc.php?dir=gal&PHPSESSID=01e373e01d255f30260eed990af934d0&langId=EN&id=3&gal=27&PHPSESSID=01e373e01d255f30260eed990af934d0) for a retrofit someone did.

Hi,
I am Kevin Damen. The owner of damencnc.com. We have recently done a KT150 retrofit. We are making a kit for this machine at the moment. It is not online yet but we have all parts in. The Z axis was the hardest to do. If anyone is interested i can send some more pictures of the retrofit.

We have solved the Z-axis with a plate fixture which is bent, and then powdercoated. It look really neat and works really nice.

I will post some pictures of the prototype in my personal gallery here on cnczone.com

Greetings, Kevin Damen
