I am buying a CNC turning machine.

Some have Box Way and others have Linear Way.

Which one is best?????

Also which machine do you recomend.

Daewoo
Mazak
Okuma
Hardinge

We are a company with 3 CNC machines (Daewoo).

Looking to buy another machine with subspindle and live tools.
The Daewoo's are the less expensive from the list, and I was wondering if the difference in price is worth buying a machine from a different manufacturer
We mostly do parts smaller than 2 inch in diameter in material 12L14 from bars, round and Hex.(High Volume)
Each of the manufacturer of the machines say that the system that they have is best(obviously).

Thank you,

Jorge

i prefer linear ways,if your not doing large parts with alot of stock removal than you dont need box ways,if you take care of your machine linear ways will stay more acurate in the long run and run smoother,as far as which machine, have you priced out a hass?okuma's are nice machines and sturdy too, daewoo are nice also, but dont hold up as well as okuma,i like the hass for the buck, good luck
